Promising research projects funded by CIHR

Results from the March 2014 CIHR operating grant funding opportunities were announced recently. Congratulations to Dr Philippe Tessier who was awarded 650 907$ over 5 years for the study of the immunosuppressive functions of the S100A8 protein in arthritis. This research project will be conducted in collaboration with Dr Fawzi Aoudjit from the Axis of Immune and Infectious Diseases. Congratulations also to Dr Frédéric Barabé who is a co-applicant with Dr Fawzi Aoudjit on a research project aimed at elucidating the role of the alpha2beta1 integrin on the chemoresistance of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This project was awarded 567 520$ over 5 years. Wishing a lot of success to these promising research projects!
