Dr. Amélie Fradet-Turcotte holds the Canada Research Chair in Molecular Virology and Genomic Instability. This 5-year Tier 2 research chair has been renewed in 2022 for another 5 years. She studies, among other things, how human papillomavirus infection can impair molecular defense mechanisms against DNA damage leading to cervical cancer and certain oral cancers.
